Face ENE and look about 8 fists up — a closed fist at arm's length is about 10°. Magnitude 4.5. Nearest bright marker: Hamal, 25° away — Andromeda Galaxy is above it and to the left. You will find it in Andromeda. It spans 178 arcminutes, about 6 times the width of the full Moon. Your sky here is about Bortle 7, bright, so for this you want binoculars, and it will be faint. The Moon is 47% lit and only 33° away, which will wash out anything faint nearby. Best in the next 12 months: 2026-11-07, when it reaches 89° with 9.7 hours of darkness and the Moon 0% lit.
