Face SSW and look about 3 fists up — a closed fist at arm's length is about  10°.  Magnitude 8.0.  Nearest bright marker: Kaus Australis, 17° away — M18 is above it and to the  right.  You will find it in Sagittarius.   Your sky here is about Bortle 7, bright, so for this you want binoculars at least, from here.   The Moon is 61% lit and only 11° away, which will wash out anything faint nearby.   Best in the next 12 months: 2027-07-03, when it reaches 33° with 4.9 hours of darkness and the Moon 1%  lit.
