Face SSW and look about one fist up — a closed fist at arm's length is about 10°. Magnitude 4.5. Nearest bright marker: Kaus Australis, 9° away — M6 is level with it, to the right. You will find it in Scorpius. It spans 25 arcminutes, roughly 0.8 Moon-widths. Your sky here is about Bortle 7, bright, so for this you want binoculars, and it will be faint. The Moon is 61% lit and only 15° away, which will wash out anything faint nearby. Follow @skymapsh for skymap.sh updates
