M68 is not visible from 40.00,-83.00: the sky is still too bright.  No window in the next 40 days from this latitude.  It clears the horizon between about 40°S and 70°S: Torres del Paine or Aoraki Mackenzie.   You will find it in Hydra.   Your sky here is about Bortle 7, bright, so for this you want binoculars at least, from here.
